Jennifer Tennyson, MA, BCBA, LBA
Chief of Staff | Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Jennifer “Jen” Tennyson, a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst, expertly integrates her vast knowledge into her multifaceted role. She mentors providers, manages daily operations, supports families through their therapy service and academic journeys, and consistently provides exceptional leadership to our team. Jen is passionate about cultivating a positive and empowering work environment where practitioners thrive by building meaningful connections and explore their unique areas of interest to deliver outstanding support.
Driven by a strong commitment to supporting individuals with special needs—especially those who feel adrift and in need of a dedicated advocate—Jen was one of the founding staff members when we launched our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) department in 2012. She greatly values Personalized Therapy, LLC’s diverse team of professionals who employ a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating a wide array of specialized focuses and interests to comprehensively support individuals with varied needs. Jen’s key areas of focus within the ABA field include organizational behavior management, language development, crisis intervention, and toilet training. For Jen, while she continues to enjoy seeing the growth of our clients, her transition into a more managerial role has brought a new sense of fulfillment—now, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is watching our staff grow professionally, pursue their individual interests, and develop into confident, ambitious providers.
Jen’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Clemson University, a Master of Applied Behavior Analysis and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Ball State University, and a Certificate in Organizational Behavior Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is additionally a certified Safety Care® Trainer and has training administer and interpret a variety of assessments including the Autism Diagnostic and Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). Her professional journey includes experience as an Autism Specialist within the public school system, as well as roles as a Behavior Technician and Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst before earning her BCBA certification. She has provided services to clients across diverse environments, including in-home, school, community, and clinic settings, and has been an integral part of the ABA field since 2008.
When she’s not working, you’ll most likely find Jen cheering on her two sons from the sidelines of a football field or basketball court. She loves all things brunch, enjoys getting creative with home redecorating and party planning, and has a special love for Christmas décor. As an enthusiastic Clemson fan, she never misses a chance to sport her orange and purple while cheering on the Tigers.
