Katlyn Palmieri, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
As an Occupational Therapist, Katlyn focuses her expertise on pediatrics. One of her main interests is pediatric feeding, utilizing specialized approaches such as the AEIOU Integrated Approach to Feeding and the SOS Approach to Feeding. She is passionate about incorporating functional play and providing the “just right challenge” to help children reach their goals.
Katlyn was drawn to occupational therapy because of its flexibility and the chance to get creative with problem-solving. She joined our team in 2020 and really values how Personalized Therapy, LLC makes it a priority to involve families in every step of a child’s treatment. Parent collaboration and teamwork help each client increase success—not just in the clinic, but at home, in school, and in the community. The best part of Katlyn’s job is seeing kids meet their goals and hearing the excitement in their parents’ voices as they celebrate each milestone.
Katlyn earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Towson University and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University. Before becoming an OT, she worked as a caregiver for a young adult with special needs. She began her OT career in a preschool setting for children with special needs in Brooklyn, New York. She’s been dedicated to the field of occupational therapy since 2017.
When she’s not working, Katlyn enjoys spending time with her family and loves being outdoors. She also has a true passion for running.
