Krista Shotwell, MA, BCBA, LBA
Board Certified Behavior Analyst | Continuous Improvement Coordinator
Krista is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who brings vast knowledge and experience to our team. As our Continuous Improvement Coordinator, she puts her energy into making sure every individual gets top-notch care every step of the way—from the first diagnosis all the way through to a successful discharge. Krista is passionate about finding new and meaningful ways to support clients, families, teammates, and the community.
Krista joined Personalized Therapy, LLC in 2014, driven by a deep desire to make a real difference in people’s lives. She really values the positive, collaborative environment here—where everyone believes in each other, supports one another, and works together toward a shared mission. One of Krista’s biggest passions in ABA is recognizing and valuing all forms of communication. For her, the most meaningful part of the job is seeing the emotional reactions from families when their loved ones gain skills they once thought were out of reach.
Krista earned her B.A. in Psychology from Shepherd University, entering the field of ABA as a Registered Behavior Technician immediately following. Shortly after, she went on to pursue her M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis as well as a Graduate Certificate in Autism from Ball State University. Krista has over 10 years of experience working in homes, clinics, schools, and community settings. She has been an integral part of our service in the ABA field since 2014. She is additionally certified as a Safety-Care® Trainer and completed training to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).
Outside of work, Krista loves staying active and having fun. Whether she’s out on the field herself or cheering on her three kids, she enjoys soccer, volleyball and basketball. She also enjoys diving into a new craft or DIY project. On top of that, she’s got some fun hidden talents—she can juggle, pull off hula hoop tricks, and even spin a basketball on her finger!
