Kristen DeMauro, LGPC
Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
Kristen, a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, is passionate about helping kids and teens who are dealing with Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She takes a client-centered approach, always meeting people right where they are in their mental health journey. One of her go-to phrases, “Tell me more about that,” really captures her curiosity, empathy, and dedication to building strong, trusting relationships with her clients.
Kristen’s personal journey of healing is what first ignited her passion for helping others. This deep calling led her to join the Personalized Therapy, LLC team in 2014. She is especially proud to be part of an organization that shares her commitment to supporting the local community where she was raised.
Kristen’s early fascination with memory and learning in preschool-aged children shaped her professional path and solidified her desire to work with young individuals. Today, she finds her greatest fulfillment in supporting children across a wide spectrum of needs. For Kristen, the most rewarding aspect of her work is witnessing each child’s growth and development as they achieve their personal goals.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Salisbury University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University. Kristen got started in the mental health field in 2014 with additional experience as an ABA therapist. Thanks to her hands-on experience and solid education, she’s able to support kids and families with care that’s both thoughtful and practical.
Outside of her professional life, Kristen cherishes time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys hiking, writing, crocheting, and playing games.
