Lisa Gravatt, MEd, BCBA, LBA
Education Director | Board Certified Behavior Analyst
As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and the Education Director at Personalized Therapy, LLC, Lisa brings a wealth of expertise and passion to her role. Her commitment to creating meaningful change is evident across her work—from supporting clients with sleep, feeding, and behavioral needs, to leading reading interventions and educational advocacy.
Lisa specializes in reading intervention services that are rooted in the five core pillars of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. She is highly skilled in analyzing student data to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, and uses those insights to develop targeted, individualized, research-based, interventions that close learning gaps and foster measurable academic progress. Lisa believes in building upon students’ strengths and interests to create effective, engaging learning experiences.
Her advocacy work is driven by a strong belief in fighting for what is right and what students truly deserve. Lisa has a strong background in general and special education, along with behavioral approaches, making her uniquely equipped to support diverse learners. Having sat on both sides of the IEP table, she offers a comprehensive, empathetic perspective and is fluent in all components of the IEP process.
Lisa’s journey into Applied Behavior Analysis began during her years as a special education teacher, when she witnessed the life-changing power of home-based ABA programs. Inspired by this transformation, she joined us in 2014 and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Her areas of focus include Skills-Based Treatment (SBT) and delivering holistic academic support that blends behavioral and educational best practices. She excels in meeting learners where they are and creative programming to fit their individual needs.
Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oswego, followed by a Master’s in Education from Nazareth College of Rochester, and later completed a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is also a certified Safety Care® Trainer. Her diverse experience includes work as a special education teacher, behavior technician, and behavior analyst—roles that shape her thoughtful, well-rounded approach today.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, getting her steps in with a good walk, and staying active as part of a healthy lifestyle.
